Services and Programs

services Morning Star Boys' Ranch uses a family-centered practice model to help boys in need between the ages of ten and eighteen. Our goal is to reunite younger boys with their families or alternate resources. Older boys are taught to live responsibly, so they can successfully support themselves when they reach 18 years old. We provide services to support the boy and his family in the transition from group care into a family environment whenever this is possible, or to independence at age 18.

On admission, each boy is assigned a social worker and a counselor to coordinate his care. Our programs emphasize success by measuring daily behavior and goal achievement. Supportive feedback allows a boy the opportunity to direct and redirect his behavior to improve his performance and progress toward his goals.

Life at the Ranch is not easy. The boys are regularly confronted with "real world" challenges, but they are given the training, encouragement, support, and rewards they need to meet those challenges and take pride in their achievements.
