Bishop offers ‘Highest Commendation’

Father Joe Weitensteiner, on the occasion of his retirement, deserves the highest commendation and gratitude for his work as Director of Morning Star Boys’ Ranch for so many years. His dedication to this work for decades is a wonderful expression of the love of neighbor demanded by the Gospel. His work and the mission of Morning Star Boys’ Ranch is a modern day expression of the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Rather than walking away from difficult and challenging circumstances in peoples lives, Father Joe Weitensteiner has addressed this need with compassion, dedication, love of those who come, and a deep sense of hope in the goodness of every person. Personally, I am profoundly grateful to Father Joe for his very fine and dedicated work in assisting Morning Star Boys’ Ranch to become the institution it is today in service to God’s people.

May the Lord bless him with much peace and joy in his years of retirement.
